Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pallet Jack Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, loading, and unloading materials using pallet jacks and other heavy equipment. Your expertise in warehouse operations will ensure smooth inventory management, accurate order picking, and safe handling of goods. Duties
- Operate pallet jacks, manual handling equipment, and other heavy machinery safely to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Assist with order picking using RF scanners and manual methods to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring proper handling and placement of goods to prevent damage.
- Support inventory management activities by organizing stock, conducting regular stock counts, and updating inventory records.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all material handling tasks to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate shipping & receiving activities and optimize warehouse flow.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency throughout daily operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar environments with a focus on materials handling.
- Demonstrated ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment safely.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management.
- Experience with RF scanners for order picking and inventory updates is preferred.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly while maintaining safety standards.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse procedures.
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience or extensive warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
- Hours Monday to Friday 230pm to 1130pm ( overtime extended until finish production)
