Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Clinical Administrator & Biller to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Manage daily clinical administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, patient check-ins, and maintaining medical records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Process medical billing and coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), and ICD coding standards to ensure precise reimbursement
- Verify insurance coverage, submit healthcare claims, and follow up on unpaid or denied claims using billing software and EMR/EHR systems
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of medical records, patient histories, and treatment notes in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper coding for procedures and diagnoses, supporting accurate billing and reporting
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools as well as other programs to generate reports, track billing statuses, and manage administrative workflows efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries related to billing, insurance claims, and medical records promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office setting with strong knowledge of healthcare claims management and medical billing processes
- Familiarity with medical coding systems including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG, and ICD coding standards
- Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Record) platforms for managing patient data
- Strong understanding of health insurance policies, medical terminology, and medical records management
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook for administrative tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies
- Ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prior experience with healthcare claims management software is preferred
