PDQ Restoration is seeking a relationship-driven, organized, and self-motivated Plumber Business Development Manager to help grow our referral program throughout Northern New Jersey.
This is a field-based business development role focused on building trusted relationships with plumbers, plumbing companies, supply houses, property managers, and other referral partners. The goal is to make PDQ Restoration the first call when a referral partner encounters water damage, sewage backups, mold concerns, or other restoration needs.
The right person does not need to come directly from restoration, but must be comfortable being out in the field, walking into businesses, making introductions, following up consistently, handling rejection professionally, and tracking activity and results.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with plumbers, plumbing companies, and plumbing supply houses.
- Generate qualified water damage and restoration referrals from plumbing referral partners.
- Conduct regular in-person visits, cold calls, follow-ups, meetings, and networking activity.
- Educate plumbers on when and how to refer water, sewage, mold, fire, and related restoration losses to PDQ.
- Develop and maintain a target list of referral partners in the assigned territory.
- Track all visits, calls, meetings, referrals, outcomes, and follow-up activity in the CRM.
- Meet weekly and monthly activity goals for touchpoints, meetings, follow-ups, and referral development.
- Attend networking events, industry events, trade association meetings, and community events as needed.
- Deliver Lunch & Learns or educational presentations to referral partners.
- Communicate professionally with referral partners and internal PDQ team members.
- Work closely with operations to make sure referral partners receive timely updates and excellent service.
- Help create a repeatable plumber outreach and follow-up process.
- Outreach with property managers, insurance agents, and other partners as the program grows.
Key Performance Expectations
This role will be measured by both activity and results, including:
- Building and maintaining target accounts.
- Completing approximately high-quality touchpoints per month.
- Conducting qualified meetings per month.
- Delivering Lunch & Learns or educational presentations per month.
- Attending networking or industry events per month.
- Maintaining accurate and consistent CRM activity.
- Generating new referral partners per quarter.
- Contributing to referral-generated revenue goals.
- Growing the number of active plumber referral partners.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of outside sales, business development, account management, or relationship-based sales experience preferred.
- Experience in plumbing, restoration, construction, property management, insurance/vendor programs, or home services is a plus.
- Strong communication, follow-up, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable using CRM software, email, Microsoft Office, and basic reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation required.
Compensation
Compensation will include a base salary plus performance-based commission or bonus opportunities. Final compensation will depend on experience, ramp-up expectations, and revenue goals assigned to the role.

Work Location
This role is based in Northern New Jersey and includes office time in Boonton, NJ, along with significant local field activity.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
