This is a Part-Time Lane Inspector Position.

As a Lane Inspector, you serve as a vital frontline contributor to environmental health. You are responsible for performing vehicle emissions testing to identify polluting vehicles and ensure compliance with emission standards.
- Execute vehicle emissions inspections and exhaust analysis using specialized equipment according to established procedures.
- Accurately enter and verify vehicle information within the computer system.
- Safely operate customer vehicles during the testing process.
- Direct motorists through the station, explain test results, provide instructions on next steps, and process inspection fees.
- Coordinate general janitorial upkeep to ensure a clean, professional environment.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and state contractual obligations.
- Provides assistance to other stations within the district as needed to ensure the success of the broader network operations.
- Other duties as assigned by management team.
No experience required; we will train you!
- No prior experience is required; comprehensive training is provided.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
- Proficiency with basic computer functions.
- Must be able to work part-time (between 20-30 hours a week) - Saturday availability required.
- Attend one full-time week of paid training from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday thru Friday, post-shadowing.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, knee, reach, and balance unassisted for the duration of a shift.
- Ability to enter and exit customer vehicles.
- Physical capability to lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds occasionally, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions.
- Work is performed in an active shop environment subject to vehicle exhaust fumes, noise, and heat.
- Requires constant awareness and the ability to work safely around operating motor vehicles.
