We work with a wide range of members, from everyday adults to competitive athletes, and our training blends strength, conditioning, functional fitness, athletic development, and performance-based programming.
As LIFT continues to grow, we are looking to add a Part-Time Strength & Conditioning Coach to our coaching team.
The Opportunity
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with an Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, or related background who wants to develop into an excellent coach.
Previous coaching experience is a plus, but it is not required.

We will teach you how we coach at LIFT.
You will be responsible for delivering LIFT’s programming, learning our coaching system, understanding the intent behind each class, and helping create the type of experience that keeps our members excited to train.
What You’ll Do
As a LIFT Strength & Conditioning Coach, you will:
- Coach group strength and conditioning classes
- Deliver LIFT programming as written and understand the intent behind each training session
- Demonstrate and teach exercises clearly and effectively
- Coach proper technique and movement quality
- Provide appropriate regressions, progressions, and modifications when necessary
- Manage athletes and members of different ability levels within the same class
- Create a positive, energetic, and welcoming training environment
- Learn members’ names, goals, strengths, limitations, and personalities
- Build genuine relationships with the LIFT community
- Help members feel seen, supported, challenged, and accountable
- Set up and organize equipment before and after sessions
- Maintain a clean and professional training floor
- Communicate effectively with the rest of the coaching team
- Participate in staff development, education, and coaching feedback
- Represent LIFT professionally both inside and outside the gym
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate:
- Has a background in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, Athletic Training, or a related field
- Has an athletic background or experience participating in sports
- Understands foundational strength and conditioning principles
- Is physically active and genuinely interested in fitness and performance
- Has a confident and professional presence
- Communicates extremely well with different personalities
- Is energetic without being overbearing
- Is mature, dependable, and punctual
- Takes feedback well
- Is eager to learn and improve
- Works well as part of a team
- Genuinely enjoys helping other people succeed
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a great personality and strong character who we can develop into an exceptional coach.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, or related field
- Athletic or competitive sports background
- Previous coaching, personal training, or group fitness experience
Certifications such as NASM, NSCA, CSCS, ACSM, ACE, or similar are a plus but not necessarily required for the right candidate.
CPR/AED certification will be required.
Schedule
Part-time / flexible
Coaching opportunities may include:
- Early mornings
- Mornings
- Evenings
- Saturdays
Scheduling will be based on both the coach’s availability and LIFT’s class needs.
Compensation
$25 per class
Additional opportunities and responsibilities may become available as the coach develops and LIFT continues to grow.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
