As a Caregiver (CNA/PCA), you will assist residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, comfort, and independence. This role works under the indirect supervision of a Nurse or Supervisor and follows established care plans, procedures, and guidelines.
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including transferring, mobility, bathing, changing briefs, peri-care, toileting, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, and changing bed linens to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and safety.
Support residents in attending meals, activities, appointments, and other scheduled events, including assisting with walkers, pushing wheelchairs, and monitoring daily schedules.
Accurately document care provided, complete shift summaries, and communicate effectively with team members to ensure continuity of care.
Ability to regularly walk, stand, bend, stoop, or sit for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or assist with moving objects or individuals weighing over 50 lbs.
Ability to maintain focus on safety, accuracy, and attention to detail throughout the shift.
Dependable and reliable with strong attendance and punctuality.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to make sound, independent decisions, including in stressful situations.
Compassionate, respectful, and professional when interacting with residents, families, team members, and the public.
Genuine concern for the physical, emotional, and social well-being of older adults and their families.
