Mobile Veterinary Technician – Primary Care
Mount Laurel Animal Hospital – Mount Laurel, NJ
Bring Exceptional Veterinary Care Beyond the Hospital Walls
Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, motivated, and patient-focused Mobile Veterinary Technician to join our Primary Care team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technician who enjoys the energy of a fast-paced hospital but also values the independence and variety of working on the road. You will help provide high-quality veterinary care both within the hospital and in clients’ homes through our busy mobile service.
Our technicians are patient advocates, client educators, problem-solvers, comfort-givers, and essential members of the medical team. For this position, we are looking for someone who can combine strong technical skills with excellent judgment, organization, and the ability to confidently manage the flow of a mobile appointment day.
Not Every Exam Room Has Four Walls
Your workday begins on our beautiful working farm campus, where you may be greeted by longhorns, emus, goats, pigs, and geese before you even walk through the hospital doors.
Yes, it is a veterinary hospital.
Yes, it is also a working farm.
And yes, the animals may occasionally judge your parking.
Forgot breakfast on the way in? We have you covered with a fully stocked breakfast bar and complimentary snacks available to our team.
From there, your day may take you into exam rooms within the hospital or on the road to provide care in clients’ homes. Mobile appointments require more than great technical skills—they require independence, preparation, flexibility, and the ability to create a calm, professional experience wherever the appointment takes place.
Throughout the day, you will help clients understand their pets’ care, support the veterinarian, maintain an efficient appointment schedule, and provide compassionate nursing care to dogs and cats.
Our larger hospital environment also includes walk-in urgent care, soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, and advanced medical services, offering opportunities to work alongside a broad and experienced veterinary team.
What You’ll Do
- Obtain thorough patient histories and enter accurate information into the electronic medical record
- Assist veterinarians during appointments in clients’ homes and within the hospital
- Help maintain an organized and efficient mobile appointment schedule
- Provide high-quality nursing care to dogs and cats under veterinarian supervision
- Prepare vaccines and fill preventive medications
- Perform venipuncture and assist with examinations and treatments
- Safely handle and restrain patients using Fear Free techniques

- Educate clients about medications, treatments, preventive care, and wellness recommendations
- Accurately record patient information, monitor vital signs, and administer medications
- Stock, clean, and maintain organized mobile and clinical workspaces
- Follow hospital policies, medical protocols, and documentation standards
- Support your teammates and contribute to a positive, professional hospital culture
What We’re Looking For
- At least one year of Veterinary Technician experience

- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a busy clinical environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong teamwork and collaboration across departments

Physical and Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry animals or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
