911 Experience EMT Part-Time
Are you a trained emergency responder with 911 skills? We are seeking reliable, dedicated PART-TIME EMT employees to work our standby contracts. These standby events have many accidents/collisions that occur so we are seeking someone with the following skills/capabilities:
Responsibilities
1) Emergency Response Skills
- Quick assessment of patient condition
- Providing basic life support (CPR, AED use)
- Managing airways and breathing issues
2) First Aid and Basic Medical Care
- Wound management and bleeding control
- Immobilizing broken bones and splints
- Treating burns and medical shock
3) Patient Handling and Transport
- Safe lifting, moving, and extricating patients
- Comforting and communicating with patients
4) Situational Awareness and Decision-Making
- Staying calm in high-pressure situations
- Prioritizing care based on severity (triage)
5) Communication Skills
- Clear communication with patients, bystanders, and team members
- Accurate documentation of patient condition and treatment
6) Knowledge of Medical Equipment and Medications
- Operating stretchers, suction devices, oxygen tanks, and monitor equipment
- Understanding protocols for administering medications within scope of practice
7) Physical Fitness and Stamina
- The ability to lift, move, and stay active for extended periods
8) Teamwork and Collaboration
- Working efficiently with other emergency personnel, law enforcement, and hospital staff
9) Legal and Ethical Knowledge
- Understanding patient privacy laws (HIPAA)
- Following protocols and scope of practice
10) Problem Solving and Adaptability
- Handling unexpected situations quickly and effectively
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Per diem
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
