As a Correctional Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within the correctional facility. Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate behavior and enforce facility rules to maintain order and security.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including surveillance through CCTV systems.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, inmate behavior, and daily activities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and security personnel to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Participate in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Assist in the rehabilitation process by engaging with inmates in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License is required
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Previous experience in corrections, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong skills in report writing to document incidents accurately.
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle difficult situations effectively.
- A commitment to maintaining safety protocols within the correctional environment.
- Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
