Job Position: Assistant Host/Hostess
Department: Louis Ristorante & Bar
Job Tasks and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provides warm greeting and Cossetta welcome to all guests
- Provides prompt, courteous customer service
- Assists in organizing and preparing reservations
- Gives Guest realistic estimate of waiting time and shows them where they may wait
- Guests are seated at an appropriate set table following the organized seating chart to ensure individual servers are not over-sat
- Take-out orders are handled correctly according to Cossetta Standards
- All cash handling procedures are followed to Cossetta Standards
- Upon departure each guest is asked about their experience and thanked for dining with us
- Assists in communicating with management, kitchen staff and serving staff to ensure effective customer flow
- Transports all dirty dishes to dish room for cleaning
- Maintains proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards
- Maintains cleanliness and appearance of station and equipment
- Inventories and stocks all paper supplies, glassware, and promotional material
- Sets up and prepares restaurant for daily service
- Answers telephone according to Cossetta Standard
- Instructs and trains new employees in department procedures
- May assist with company fiscal period inventory count
- Performs all other tasks as assigned
