Position Overview: Cripple Creek Bike and Backcountry is more than just a traditional retail store, and this is more than just a sales associate job. We are looking for aspiring cycling experts at our location. Our associates are responsible for all areas of customer service, from in-person retail to deep technical knowledge. An intense desire to learn and an affinity toward gear nerding are a must. No previous retail experience is necessary—just an excitement for equipping riders with the right gear for their next life-changing experience on two wheels.

Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Offer expert advice and personalized recommendations on mountain, road, and gravel bikes, as well as components and apparel, ensuring customers find the perfect setup for their needs.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest cycling technologies (electronic shifting, suspension tuning, e-bike systems) and trends to educate and assist customers effectively.
- Sales Excellence: Drive sales by engaging with customers, understanding their riding style, and providing tailored solutions. Achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining inventory. Ensure the showroom and accessories sections are well-organized and visually appealing.
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service from the initial interaction through post-purchase follow-up, promptly addressing any questions or concerns regarding fit or maintenance.
- Safety & Education: Uphold safety standards and educate customers about proper helmet fit, bike maintenance, and trail etiquette.
Qualifications:
- Cycling Passion: Solid knowledge of cycling, including bike types, components, and local trails/routes. Personal riding experience is highly valued.
- Sales Experience: Previous experience in retail sales is a plus, preferably in outdoor sports, with a proven track record of achieving sales goals.
- Customer-centric Attitude: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help customers find the best products for their adventures.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a team, contributing to a positive and energetic store environment.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to adapt to changing demands, especially during the peak summer season.
