Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our dynamic hospitality team. Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning windows to ensure a pristine environment.
- Perform detailed cleaning of bathrooms, including disinfecting sinks, toilets, showers, and replenishing supplies.
- Handle laundry services such as washing, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas like hallways, lobbies, elevators, and stairwells through sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing as needed.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely while adhering to sanitation standards and infection control protocols.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large supplies while utilizing proper manual handling techniques.
- Follow safety procedures by using personal protective equipment (PPE) during all cleaning activities to ensure health standards are met.
- Conduct window cleaning to enhance visibility and overall appearance of the property’s exterior and interior spaces.
- Support custodial tasks including floor care—stripping, waxing, buffing—and maintaining overall cleanliness in all assigned areas.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and used efficiently for optimal results.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of chemical handling protocols to ensure safe use of cleaning agents.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills to interact politely with guests or team members when needed.
- Hands-on experience with laundry services or floor care equipment enhances your suitability for this role.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions for infection control standards and safety procedures.
