Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a Trash Debris and Material Cleanup Specialist. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety across our facilities by efficiently removing trash debris and waste materials. Duties
- Collect, sort, and remove trash debris and waste materials from designated areas using appropriate tools and equipment
- Operate mechanical devices such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or dump trucks to move heavy or bulky waste items safely
- Ensure proper disposal of waste in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by regularly sweeping, picking up trash, and organizing debris for efficient removal
- Conduct routine inspections of the site to identify areas needing attention and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues
- Assist with loading and unloading waste materials from trucks or containers, ensuring secure handling during transport
- Use effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors for smooth operations
Experience
- Prior experience in waste management, sanitation, or related cleaning roles preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience operating commercial vehicles such as dump trucks, flatbeds, or box trucks is advantageous
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling tools is a plus
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to waste disposal and equipment operation is essential
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels and attention to detail
- Strong physical stamina for lifting, moving heavy debris, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report issues promptly
