Duties
- Conduct field mapping using GPS surveying, hydrographic surveys, and leveling surveying techniques to gather precise spatial data.
- Utilize GIS software such as ArcGIS and MicroStation to create detailed maps for construction projects, land development, and environmental analysis.
- Perform mapping using photogrammetry and LiDAR surveys to generate high-resolution topographic models.
- Operate digital survey tools and mobile devices to collect accurate field data efficiently.
- Prepare comprehensive reports documenting survey results, mapping outputs, and project progress for stakeholders.
- Support construction surveys by providing accurate layout plans and site measurements using AutoCAD and Civil engineering principles.
- Manage databases containing spatial information to ensure data integrity and facilitate easy access for project teams.
Experience
- Proven experience in land surveying, construction surveys, or civil engineering projects involving field surveying techniques.
- Strong proficiency with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS and MicroStation; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with GPS surveying equipment, digital survey tools, and mobile devices used in the field.
- Knowledge of mapping using LiDAR surveys, photogrammetry, and hydrographic survey methods.
- Ability to operate standard passenger cars for local driving routes required for fieldwork.
- Experience working with CAD software for drafting and mapping purposes; familiarity with databases is advantageous.
- Demonstrated capability in report preparation, data analysis, and project documentation related to land surveying or civil engineering projects.
