General Description: The Landscape Maintenance Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of maintenance clients. This role blends relationship management, operational oversight, and sales strategy — ensuring that our clients receive top-tier service while properties are maintained to the highest L&C standard. You’ll oversee the quality of maintenance operations, identify enhancement opportunities, renew contracts, and collaborate closely with production teams to deliver outstanding results. Success in this role means delighted clients, healthy landscapes, and strong account growth.
Responsibilities:
Client & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain trusted and lasting relationships with maintenance clients through regular communication and on-site property walks.
- Conduct routine property inspections to evaluate service quality, identify issues, and recommend improvements or enhancements.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client requests, questions, and concerns.
- Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication, follow-up, and attention to detail.
Operational Coordination:
- Partner with production managers and crew leaders to ensure all maintenance work is completed to company standards of quality and efficiency.
- Monitor crew performance, site quality, and contract compliance for maintenance accounts.
- Coordinate with office and production staff with scheduling, purchasing of materials, and other operational logistics when needed for maintenance and enhancement projects.
- Coordinate with office staff and leadership to ensure seamless communication between the field, the office, and the clients.
- Develop a thorough understanding of L&C operational philosophies and short & long-term goals and objectives by participating in training, company initiatives, and leadership development.
Sales & Account Growth:
- Prepare and present enhancement proposals for landscape improvements and upgrades.
- Continue to grow the company’s book of business for maintenance clients with new client onboarding.
- Renew maintenance contracts annually, maintaining or improving gross profit margins to company budgeted standards.
- Track account performance metrics (Revenue, Gross Profit, RPH, Renewals) and support budgeting, invoicing.
- Identify and upsell opportunities through plant health assessments, seasonal color, and turf improvement suggestions.
- Execute special sales projects, outreach, and organizational activities.
- Work with L&C team including the design team, sales representatives, field managers and employees, office and accounting staff, and supervisor to achieve the overall goals of the company.
Technology & Reporting:
- Use Aspire Landscape Management Software to manage client communication, proposals, and job tracking.
- Maintain accurate records of site inspections, communications, and project documentation.
- Contribute to internal reporting and forecasting related to revenue, renewals, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in landscape maintenance management, account management, or client service.
- Strong horticultural knowledge, including turf management, pruning, fertilization, and seasonal plant care.
- Proven ability to identify plant material, plant health issues, diseases, and pests, and recommend solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both clients and internal teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and landscape management software (Aspire experience preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
