Essential Functions:
- Install, maintain, and service copper & fiber optic cabling for:
- Network infrastructure
- Access control systems
- Video surveillance systems
- Telephone systems
- Build and install cable pathways, trays, and equipment racks
- Perform upgrades, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Work with Cat3, Cat5, Cat6 & fiber systems
- Accurately complete job documentation
Qualifications
- Experience in low-voltage or structured cabling (preferred)
- Ability to install, terminate, and test:
- Twisted pair, coax, fiber optic, and other low-voltage cables
- Knowledge of cable pathways, support systems, and installations
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and floor plans
- Familiarity with industry standards (BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, NEC)
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 30 lbs
- Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
