As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering top-tier automotive service.
What You'll do as a Mechanic
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and powertrains.
- Service vehicles through oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and suspension repairs such as shocks and struts.
- Repair or replace automotive components such as brake systems, air brakes (where applicable), and auto body parts.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to execute repairs with precision while adhering to safety standards.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate findings clearly to customers or service advisors.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven mechanic experience with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics, and electrical systems.
- Experience repairing diesel engines and working with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
