Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Chef Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong professional culinary background and a genuine passion for teaching. In this role, you will lead classes for students of all levels—beginners to advanced—while demonstrating essential techniques, guiding hands-on participation, and fostering an engaging, supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach hands-on cooking classes for adults and/or children
- Demonstrate culinary techniques and ensure students can successfully apply them
- Develop and adapt class menus and recipes as needed
- Maintain a professional, supportive, and inspiring classroom atmosphere
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization in the teaching kitchen
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional culinary industry experience
- Prior teaching or culinary instruction experience required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead groups with patience, clarity, and enthusiasm
- Note: Big Chef egos need not apply
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time, flexible schedule (evenings and weekends required)
- Competitive pay, commensurate with experience
