Job Summary
Profile is a behavioral intelligence platform that helps organizations better understand the people inside them. We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who can own the end-to-end process of building, testing, releasing, and keeping our software running. You will architect our CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, Ansible-managed environments, the GPU stack behind our AI, the signed release process for our on-premise appliance, and more. If you've ever wanted to work on infrastructure that ships as a product instead of just running one, this is that job.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
- Manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure, networking, and server environments
- Manage cloud environments with Ansible (provisioning, configuration management, and repeatable hardened builds)
- Deploy and tune our AI inference stack on GPU hardware, including vLLM and related model-serving tooling
- Own the release and signing pipeline for our on-premise product (build promotion, artifact signing and key handling, versioned releases, and an offline update path)
- Own automated testing and release verification, so a release is proven good before it reaches production
- Coordinate with our hardware integration partner on builds, configuration changes, and logistics
- Own network security, access controls, and infrastructure hardening
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and incident response
- Document infrastructure architecture, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or systems engineering
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar
- Experience with Ansible for provisioning and configuration management (we use it to manage our cloud environments)
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as DigitalOcean, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Experience deploying and operating ML/AI model serving in production (vLLM, TensorRT-LLM, or comparable)
- Experience with NVIDIA GPU deployment, including driver packaging and CUDA
- Strong Linux fundamentals (comfortable reading a boot log, a systemd unit, and journal output)
- Experience with container tooling such as Docker or Podman
- Solid understanding of networking and network security (addressing, DNS, firewalls, TLS/PKI, and access management)
- Experience developing automated test frameworks and release verification processes
- Understanding of data privacy and residency requirements such as GDPR, and of privacy-by-design principles
- Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly where the feedback loop is slow
- Willing to travel occasionally within the US
- Experience with artifact signing or PKI in a release pipeline (code signing, KMS, PKCS#11, or TUF is a strong plus)
- Experience building OS images for appliances or shipped hardware is a plus
- Experience with FIPS, DISA STIG, CIS benchmarks, or comparable compliance work is a plus
- Experience with Enterprise Linux (RHEL, Rocky, Oracle Linux) and SELinux is a strong plus
- Familiarity with Go, TypeScript, or Vue is a strong plus
Join us to be part of a forward-thinking team committed to transforming how enterprise software is delivered! We value innovation-driven professionals eager to leverage their DevOps expertise in a collaborative environment that fosters growth and excellence.
