Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Office / Billing Insurance Assistant. This role is essential in creating positive experience for families, performing daily administrative operations, and supporting our therapists and clinical team. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, enjoys working with children and families, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new patient intake and schedule evaluations.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits.
- Obtain and maintain required authorizations from insurance companies.
- Follow up with insurance on Outstanding Dates of Service.
- Answer, direct, and respond to phone calls, emails, and other communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor clinic schedules and assist with appointment rescheduling as needed.
- Support daily clinic operations by performing administrative and clerical duties as needed.
- Provide backup coverage for the Front Desk Coordinator as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office, therapy clinic, or healthcare setting preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records Platform preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency with computers, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail
- Experience with insurance verification is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Schedule
- Full-time
- Mostly Monday–Friday
- Flexible schedules but required to work two Saturdays a month.
