At Superior Hospice, we're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who wants meaningful clinical work without following the traditional five-day workweek.
You'll work 7 nights on, followed by 7 full days off.
That's approximately 26 weeks off every year built directly into your regular schedule.
When you're working, you'll provide critical hospice support to patients and families throughout the Greater Twin Cities Metro Area.
When you're off, you're off for seven consecutive days.

This isn't a traditional overnight hospital position.
You're not spending 12 hours managing the same assignment inside the same unit.
You'll provide hospice nursing support throughout the community, responding to patients when clinical needs arise and helping families navigate situations that can feel overwhelming when they happen after normal business hours.
Some nights may require a patient visit.
Some situations may be resolved through clinical assessment, education, and coordination.
Others may require you to recognize a significant change in condition and determine the appropriate next step.
You'll have independence, but you won't be practicing alone.
You'll be supported by a collaborative hospice team that trusts your clinical judgment and nursing experience.
The Nurse We're Looking For
You don't need someone standing over your shoulder to know what needs to happen next.
You're comfortable assessing a patient, gathering information, making a clinical judgment, and communicating a clear plan.
When a family is anxious, you're the calm person in the room.
When symptoms change unexpectedly, you know how to assess what you're seeing.
When something doesn't feel right, you trust your clinical instincts and know when to escalate.
That's the kind of nurse who thrives in this position.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide skilled hospice nursing care during evening and overnight hours.
- Assess patients and respond to changing clinical needs.
- Provide pain and symptom management using a comfort-focused approach.
- Recognize changes in condition and determine appropriate clinical interventions.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and family members about medications, symptoms, disease progression, and what to expect.
- Provide reassurance and clinical guidance during difficult or uncertain moments.
- Visit patients in private homes, assisted living communities, memory care settings, and skilled nursing facilities.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, hospice aides, facility staff, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Help patients remain comfortable while honoring their individual goals of care.

What We're Looking For
- Active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Confidence making independent nursing decisions in the field.
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate during changing clinical situations.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Hospice experience is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Greater Twin Cities Metro Area.
