About This Role
St. Saviour’s Church Nursery School, an NAEYC accredited program, seeks a qualified and experienced early childhood teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. A teacher who is enthusiastic about learning new ideas, values collaboration, and promotes family and community engagement is ideal. Above all, a caring and respectful manner with young children is essential.
What You'll Do
The early childhood teacher will work as a co-teacher in a Three's classroom. The teaching team will oversee the daily operations of an early childhood classroom with 10-12 children. With a children's age range of 2.9-3.10 years old in September, the team will develop and execute a plan based on the school's curriculum and the CT ELDS. The team will also conduct authentic assessments of the children. Our curriculum follows a cycle of inquiry using the Project Approach and The Storybook Journey. This nine-month position mirrors the Greenwich public school calendar from September to early June. On-site hours are 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some flexibility for weekly planning, age-level meetings, staff meetings, and professional development.

Experience in an early childhood or kindergarten classroom

Minimum of an Associate's degree in education

Strong oral and written communication skills

Familiarity with the CT ELDS and CT DOTS is a plus, as is experience in an NAEYC accredited program.

A desire to continue learning through professional development
