Position Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for developing, managing, and growing B2B customer relationships within assigned territories and vertical markets. This role emphasizes relationship‑driven selling, disciplined follow‑up, accurate ERP documentation, and close collaboration with internal teams to deliver high‑quality film solutions in flexible packaging and industrial markets.
This is a 100% remote role with 30–40% travel for customer visits, plant tours, and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new B2B accounts within assigned territory.
- Build strategic relationships with purchasing managers, plant managers, and key decision‑makers.
- Conduct proactive outbound prospecting and networking.
- Support vertical expansion and new market penetration.
Quote Management & Follow-Up
- Prepare accurate and timely quotes with the focus on closing new business.
- Conduct structured follow‑up on all open quotes.
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline and activity documentation.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Conduct regular account review calls and in‑person visits.
- Identify cross‑selling and upselling opportunities.
- Resolve customer issues in coordination with Operations and Purchasing.
ERP, CRM & Documentation Discipline
- Maintain accurate customer records in Epicor.
- Document all communications, pricing approvals, and follow‑up activities.
- Utilize dashboards and reports to manage territory performance.
- Ensure pricing and margin guidelines are followed.
Trade Shows & Networking
- Participate in selected industry trade shows and regional events.
- Capture and document leads generated from events.
- Execute structured post‑event follow‑up plans.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Purchasing to align customer needs with sourcing capabilities.
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure service reliability and delivery timelines.
- Support Finance policies regarding credit terms and payment follow‑up.
Performance Metrics

- Manage customer inventory A/R exposure.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2-5 years’ film industry sales experience in industrial, packaging, or specialty film markets focused on polyester, polypropylene and Nylon films.
- Experience of distribution sales preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Comfortable prospecting and conducting timely follow‑up communications.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, build relationships and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Ability to travel 30–40% within territory.
- Proficiency with Epicor ERP system, Teams, Outlook and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Self‑motivated, organized, and results‑driven.
- Preferred but not mandatory: residence in Chicago or New Jersey.
