We are seeking a highly vigilant and disciplined Armed Security Officer to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across various premises by implementing physical security measures, conducting surveillance, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Your expertise in law enforcement techniques, conflict management, and emergency response procedures will be vital in protecting personnel, property, and assets. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises using surveillance equipment and physical security techniques to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety.
- Control access points utilizing advanced access control systems, verifying identities, and performing background checks on visitors or contractors.
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies by following established protocols, including fire safety procedures, AED operation, CPR, Taser deployment, and firearm handling.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events with clarity and accuracy.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for security setups or emergency situations.
- Manage conflict de-escalation and conflict management strategies to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies to ensure compliance with security regulations and legal standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, military service, or law enforcement with a strong understanding of physical security practices.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with Taser use is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, access control technologies, incident report writing, and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to perform background checks accurately and efficiently when required.
- Strong commitment to compliance with all security regulations and legal standards governing armed security operations.
