Terran Industries is a growing axle and component supplier looking to expand our team with a driven Sales Representative. This role will focus on selling axles and trailer components by truckload to trailer manufacturers throughout Texas and surrounding regions.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative with a strong background in sales and customer service. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships, developing new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth within their territory.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a relationship-driven sales environment.
Location & Travel Requirements
- Based in or near Mount Pleasant, TX or Paris, TX
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Willing to travel 50%–75% to visit prospects and existing customers
Compensation
- Base Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 (depending on experience)
Commission: Performance-based
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with both existing and prospective clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory
- Conduct cold calls, emails, and outreach to generate leads
- Create and execute territory strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals
Account & Relationship Management
- Manage customer accounts, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and retention
- Visit customers regularly to strengthen relationships and drive repeat business
- Develop pricing strategies and sales plans aligned with company goals
- Provide post-sale follow-up and support
Customer Engagement & Service
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate product solutions
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to increase satisfaction and loyalty
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Enter and maintain accurate lead and customer data in CRM/software systems
- Track pipeline activity, follow-ups, and sales performance
- Analyze customer data to identify trends and growth opportunities
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Sales Director and Terran’s customer support team to manage accounts and opportunities
- Coordinate internally to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales (preferably B2B or manufacturing/trailer industry)
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a territory
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with travel and field sales activity
- Experience using CRM or sales tracking systems preferred
