Overview
Join our team as a full time Service Advisor/Writer, where your passion for powersports and exceptional customer service skills will drive success! In this vital position, you will act as the bridge between our valued customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle drop-off to pick-up.
Your service writing and/or powersports experience is a plus, but not a deal breaker. We are willing to train the right candidate. Pay will be based on experience with advancement opportunities.
Duties
- Greet customers, establishing trust and rapport to ensure a positive service experience
- Write repair orders, accurately documenting customer input and vehicle issues by listening carefully and performing detailed vehicle walk arounds
- Prepare clear, detailed repair estimates and communicate updates to customer throughout the repair process
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with technicians.
- Upsell appropriate services and accessories
- Manage the service schedule efficiently by scheduling appointments, updating customers on repair progress, and ensuring timely vehicle returns
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely while maintaining confidentiality
- Maintain thorough records of all service activities, client interactions, and repair orders for transparency and future reference
- Help to keep the Service department organized
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor/Writer in a dealership or repair shop environment is beneficial
- Competent in computer skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers via telephone, text, email
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and trust with customers
- Dealership experience is preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving is an essential part of the role
- Knowledge of repair processes including oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, electrical, engine work, etc. is an advantage
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
