Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Program Analyst to join our team, supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Ocean Service (NOS) Office of Coast Survey (OCS). In this role, you will be instrumental in managing complex regulatory projects, ensuring compliance with federal and international standards, and facilitating effective communication across cross-functional teams. Your expertise will help advance NOAA’s mission to understand and predict changes in climate, weather, oceans, and coasts, contributing to impactful environmental stewardship. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience working with federal agency policies, meeting planning, and/or Congressional engagements.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of a field of administration or management; organized, detail oriented, comprehensive and detailed knowledge.
- Understanding of a recognized organizational administrative or management function, including policies, precedents, and procedures; ability to apply this knowledge to achieve administrative or program objectives.
- Familiarity with federal advisory committee act.
- Ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and defend recommendations, and
- Ability to write and communicate clear guidelines.
- Maintain membership records.
- Facilitate advisory committee meeting planning including agenda setting, distribution, note taking, follow up.
- Ability to follow controlled correspondence instruction including preparing memos, point papers, draft letters, etc.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for advisory committee activities.
- Support Coast Survey Directors engagements.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
