Dump Truck Driver – Home Daily – Professional Operation

At Sun King Trucking®, we are building a disciplined, safety-first operation. We are hiring professional dump truck drivers who take pride in their work, understand equipment, and can operate without constant supervision.
This is not an entry-level position. We expect drivers to show up prepared, focused, and ready to perform at a high level every day.
Home Daily. Local Work. Consistent Hours.
What You’ll Do:
- Safely operate tandem, tri-axle, quad, or similar dump trucks
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily
- Back into tight job sites, plants, and dump areas safely
- Properly engage/disengage PTO and complete dumping procedures
- Follow dispatch instructions and repeat back all load/site details
- Maintain clean trucks inside and out
- Secure loads and tarp when required
- Communicate issues immediately with dispatch
Requirements (Read Carefully):
- Valid CDL Class A or B
- Dump truck experience preferred (or willingness to learn the right way)
- Must be comfortable backing in tight spaces daily
- Must understand or be able to learn PTO operation and dump procedures
- Clean driving record (insurance approval required)
- Must pass DOT drug screening
- Must be mechanically aware (fluids, basic checks, spotting issues)
- No distractions – phone use while working is not allowed
Work Expectations:
- We work to a standard, not a clock
- Full shift completion is required
- Safety is non-negotiable
- No shortcuts, no guessing, no careless mistakes
- Drivers are expected to operate professionally at all times
Compensation:
- Experienced Drivers: Starting at $24.00/hour, with higher pay based on skill, performance, and yard evaluation
- Entry-Level / No Dump Experience: $22.00/hour while in training and evaluation period
- Pay increases based on performance, consistency, and ability to operate independently
