Corry Manufacturing Company is looking for a team member to join us as a Furnace Operator in Corry, PA. The successful candidate will play an instrumental part in the heat treating, brazing, and stress relief processes involved in producing components for the Aerospace and Land Turbine industries!
Team members will be trained in mixing and applying stop-off and alloy material on parts to be heat treated. Additional duties will involve setting furnace cycle, temperature and time for brazing, annealing, aging and stress relief. You will be responsible for both setup and operation of vacuum furnaces in accordance with instructions and specifications provided for each operation. We are looking for someone who is ready to learn and quickly become an integral part of a well established team.
Requirements:
Must be legal to work in the United States and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in furnace operation, heat treating and alloy/stop-off application is beneficial
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Physical ability to perform tasks with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Ability to perform basic shop math, measure ingredients, follow written instrctions, and work under supervision.
- Read blueprints, shop travelers/routers, and follow Quality Procedures
- Keep work area and machine clean.
- May need to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
Responsibilities:
Operate vacuum furnace, set furnace cycle, temperature and time, assure equipment is in proper operating condition.
- Responsibe to accurately keep necessary paperwork to meet quality guidelines
- Use blueprints, set-up sheets, and shop routers to set up and operate equipment specific to assigned job
- Clean and check parts before and after furnace runs
- Work closely with other employees and the production schedule team in order to meet production goals on a daily basis.
- Clean furnace as required to mainatin highest efficiency and heat requirements
- Certification in vacuum furnace operation will be required to advance in job duties.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
