Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Radiology Clinic
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Interventional Radiology (IR) Clinic team. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive image-guided procedures in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, clinically strong, and committed to patient safety and quality care.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, intake, and pre-procedure evaluations
- Review medical history, laboratory results, medications, and allergies
- Start and maintain IV access and administer medications as ordered
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Provide moderate sedation monitoring in accordance with clinic policy and state regulations
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate closely with interventional radiologists, technologists, and clinic staff
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
- Respond appropriately to patient emergencies and changes in condition
- Follow infection prevention, radiation safety, and procedural safety standards
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation requirements
Procedures May Include
- Biopsies
- Drain placements
- Venous access procedures
- Vascular interventions
- Image-guided injections
- Ablations
- Paracentesis/thoracentesis
- Peripheral vascular procedures
Qualifications
Required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum [1–2] years of nursing experience
Preferred
- ACLS certification
- Moderate sedation experience
- Interventional Radiology, Emergency Department, ICU, PACU, or procedural nursing experience
- Experience with EPIC or other electronic medical record systems

- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to remain calm in urgent situations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to assist with patient positioning and transport
- Ability to lift or move equipment and supplies as needed
- Ability to wear required PPE and radiation protection equipment
