Administrative & Customer Service Coordinator

Position Overview
Sterling is looking for a highly organized, dependable, and customer-focused Administrative & Customer Service Coordinator to support our daily manufacturing operations.
This position will play an important role in keeping information, customer communication, scheduling, and administrative functions moving efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
EDI & Order Management
- Enter and maintain customer orders through EDI and internal systems.
- Review incoming orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate customer and order information.
- Communicate order changes, discrepancies, and requirements to the appropriate internal teams.
- Assist with customer portals and electronic documentation as needed.
Customer Service
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, shipments, scheduling, and general inquiries.
- Provide timely updates regarding order status and delivery expectations.
- Coordinate internally with production, shipping, purchasing, and management to resolve customer issues.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with customers.
Shipping & Logistics
- Schedule customer pickups and deliveries.
- Coordinate transportation and communicate schedules with customers, carriers, and internal personnel.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation.
- Monitor deliveries and follow up on delays or discrepancies.
- Help ensure customer commitments are communicated accurately to the production and shipping teams.
HR & Administrative Support
- Assist with new-hire paperwork, onboarding, and employee records.
- Assist with attendance, timekeeping, and payroll-related administrative tasks.
- Maintain employee files and required documentation.
- Assist management with employee communications and general HR administration.
- Support company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of administrative, customer service, logistics, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
- Experience with EDI systems is strongly preferred. (Epicor system experience a plus)
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office/Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Professional and positive attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and employee information.
- Manufacturing or distribution experience is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
