Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laundry Aide to join our team. The Laundry Aide will be responsible for assisting in the operation of the laundry facility, preparing and processing patient laundry, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing patient laundry
- Ensure proper laundry handling procedures are followed to prevent damage and maintain cleanliness
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, adhering to facility policies and regulations
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with linen ordering and stock management
- Collaborate with the laundry team to achieve department goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Previous laundry experience or equivalent in a healthcare setting
- Basic math skills and ability to operate laundry equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push carts, and stand for long periods
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced laundry environment
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and laundry equipment
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, as needed
- May work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
