The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct Respiratory care to long term care residents in an effort to restore pulmonary function; alleviate pain; support life by planning and administering medically prescribed respiratory therapy. This Respiratory Therapist will be primarily focused on the central parts of Indiana, and will train in Indianapolis, IN.
Qualifications
- This position requires a current valid Licensed Respiratory Therapist issued in the state where the person will practice. (IN, KY, or OH)
- Must have thorough knowledge of respiratory techniques, and practices.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the specialized procedures applied, and equipment used, in the assigned unit.
- Must be able to demonstrate leadership and organizational skills, and provide positive attitude, and direction for the nursing staff.
- Up-to-date physical assessment skills and comprehensive knowledge of respiratory principles are required.
- Recent experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing and experience preferred.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma, or GED
- Minimum: Associate of Science Degree in Physical Therapy
- Certification of (CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist or (RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist
Other Requirements:
- Licensed in the state RT is working
- Pass drug test
- Background check

- Clean driving record
