We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to support our warehouse operations, inventory management, receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment activities.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Assistant plays a critical role in maintaining an organized warehouse environment, ensuring inventory accuracy, preparing merchandise for shipment, receiving incoming products, and supporting delivery operations. The ideal candidate must be dependable, punctual, physically capable, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and care when handling luxury furniture and accessories.
Primary Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming containers and shipments.
- Open, inspect, and verify merchandise against packing lists and receiving documents.
- Report damages, shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns immediately.
- Accurately label, organize, and store merchandise.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving, transfers, and inventory control procedures.
- Assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
- Prepare customer orders for shipment and delivery.
- Carefully pack, repack, and protect merchandise using appropriate packaging materials.
- Optimize the use of packaging and shipping materials to minimize waste and control costs.
- Verify all items, quantities, finishes, and customer information before shipment.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Ensure all outgoing orders are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
- Assist with furniture assembly and basic product preparation when required.
- Follow established warehouse procedures and company policies.
- Support delivery scheduling and logistics coordination as needed.
- Assist with special projects and warehouse improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: Spanish
