ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Project Manager and Inspector of BR&A’s Permitting and Inspection Department you will work under the direction and supervision of the Department Head. The Construction Project Manager and Inspector oversees all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion. This role involves planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with contractors, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management.
· Experience managing commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
Skills & Abilities
· Strong leadership skills.
· Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
· Excellent communication, budgeting, and scheduling abilities.
· Ability to interpret blueprints, contracts, and technical documents.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning & Execution
· Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
· Develop detailed construction schedules and budgets.
· Manage necessary permits and ensure regulatory compliance.
· Participate in project meetings.
· Prepare project invoices in accordance with contract requirements.
Team Coordination
· Coordination of project submittals, responses to requests for information and non-conformance reports across multiple disciplines.
· Technical direction on project tasks.
· Coordination with inspectors and assigned personnel.
· Monitoring of deliverables.
· Management of on-site issues.
· Effective communication with support teams.
· Assurance of technical and administrative compliance.
Communication & Reporting
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
· Provide regular updates on project progress, budget, and timelines.
· Resolve conflicts and address issues that arise during construction.
Quality & Compliance
· Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations 3.
· Maintain quality control and ensure project standards are met.
· Revise or prepare and submit inspection logs, punch lists, and final reports.
· Ensure compliance with the project scope of work as defined in the contracts.
Working Conditions:
· Combination of office and field work.
· May require travel to job sites and occasional evening/weekend hours.
· Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and construction environments.
Any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor that are consistent with the responsibilities of the position.
