Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team in a full-time capacity. This vital role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of laundry services to ensure a hygienic and comfortable environment for residents and staff. Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment efficiently, including washers, dryers, and specialty cleaning machines such as dry cleaning units.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, clothing, and other textiles according to established procedures.
- Ensure all laundry items are cleaned to meet health and safety standards while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the laundry area, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors when stock levels are low.
- Follow proper handling procedures for delicate items requiring special cleaning techniques such as dry cleaning.
- Support the overall cleanliness of the facility by assisting with light cleaning tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all organizational policies regarding infection control, safety regulations, and confidentiality.
Skills
- Proven experience in laundry services or related roles within hospitality or healthcare environments.
- Knowledge of laundry operations including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning processes.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
- Familiarity with hotel or healthcare industry standards is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
