As the first point of contact for customers entering the yard, you'll help weigh incoming and outgoing loads, process transactions, assist customers, and coordinate with yard operations. Every day is different, and your attention to detail helps ensure accurate payments, safe traffic flow, and exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do
- Weigh and process incoming and outgoing scrap metal loads using truck scales
- Create scale tickets, process payments, and maintain accurate transaction records
- Assist customers with pricing, accepted materials, and unloading directions
- Coordinate with yard and office teams to ensure accurate documentation and smooth operations
- Verify scale accuracy and complete required paperwork
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and operational discrepancies
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused environment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of related experience preferred
Preferred Experience:
- Scale house operations
- Warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics
- Dispatching or transportation
- Inventory control
- Scrap recycling or materials handling
- Customer service and cash handling

Work Environment
