Overview
SWI Glass & Metal is seeking an Assistant Project Manager. Working under the direction of our VP of Sales, this individual will be responsible for a variety of functions related to construction projects, including the procurement of materials, subcontractor coordination, change order management, and dealing with clients, architects and suppliers.
Job Responsibilities
· Managing up-to-date project documentation including, but not limited to job files, contracts, drawing and specification management, RFI’s, submittals, meeting minutes, and daily reports
· Review and understand project specifications
· Creating takeoffs from CAD drawings and verifying accuracy and changes prior to submittal
· Reviewing, coordinating and tracking submittals and samples and ensuring the submittals are properly processed
· Assisting with project closeouts and warranty documentation for clients
· Aid in the research and preparation of documentation for contract design change requests
· Perform additional assignments as directed by the project managers
· Oversee project inquiries and help executive leadership manage pipeline, including job setup and purchasing
Qualifications
· 4-year degree, preferably in Construction, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or a similar field or an equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience may be considered
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, project management software (BuildOps, Procore or similar), accounting cost management software (Sage or similar) as well as AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam would be preferred
· Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
· Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written and interpersonal skills will be essential for interacting with different departments
· Ability to thrive in a team environment and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively based on business needs and be self-motivated

Pay: $44,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
