Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using dedicated automobile dealership software
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions through detailed account analysis
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Handle accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and collections
- Maintain the general ledger by recording financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accounting standards
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries to support management decision-making
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and ensure all financial data aligns with organizational records
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Solid knowledge of GAAP, financial concepts, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting
- Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and journal entries
- Ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets and perform 10-key typing accurately for data entry tasks
- Familiarity corporate accounting practices is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
