Salary Range: $105,000 - $135,000 / year (Depending on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to lead audit engagements, ensure the delivery of high-quality financial statement audits, and mentor junior staff. In this role, you will manage multiple engagements from planning through completion, maintain strong client relationships, and drive improvements in audit efficiency-including the innovative application of data analytics and emerging AI tools.
Key Responsibilities
Engagement Management: Lead the planning, fieldwork, and completion of audit engagements across various industries, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop audit teams. Responsibilities include assigning tasks, reviewing workpapers, and providing constructive feedback to staff and seniors.
Quality Assurance: Review and approve audit documentation, financial statements, and management letters to ensure strict accuracy and compliance with firm policies.
Risk & Insights: Identify key financial and operational risks, design robust audit procedures, and communicate findings and strategic recommendations to clients and senior management.
Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact to maintain and strengthen client relationships, addressing concerns and providing value-added insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with engagement partners, tax, and advisory teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Innovation & Tech: Drive process improvements by adopting data analytics and AI-assisted audit tools to enhance audit quality and depth.
Compliance: Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting/auditing standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of experience supervising audit engagements (with a total of 5+ years in public accounting preferred).
Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal controls testing.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Highlights:
Prior experience at a Big 4 or large national firm.
An advanced degree or additional professional certifications.
Proficiency with modern audit software and data analytics tools; direct experience leveraging AI or machine-learning tools in audit processes is a strong plus.
