Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with sanitation standards
- Utilize reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when needed and uphold food safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or high volume restaurant experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Demonstrated ability in upselling, sales techniques, and guest relations to enhance revenue opportunities
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management tools is preferred
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
