As a Host, you’ll manage reservations, greet guests with a friendly smile, and coordinate seating to ensure smooth operations. Duties
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and general questions
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to enhance guest comfort
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service flow
- Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Host or in food service/hospitality roles preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills, including patience and active listening
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and polished phone etiquette are essential
- Previous hotel or guest services experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory
