AMG Resources is a leading processor and recycler of scrap metal and recyclable materials. We are looking for a dependable, safety-minded Front End Loader Operator to join our St. Paul team. What You'll Do
- Safely operate a front-end loader to move, sort, stockpile, and load scrap metal and recyclable materials.
- Load trailers, hoppers, conveyors, and processing equipment.
- Maintain material flow throughout the yard and production areas.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Complete routine equipment care, including fueling, greasing, and cleaning.
- Assist with unloading inbound deliveries and loading outbound shipments.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, drivers, customers, and management.
- Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with general yard operations and other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience operating a front-end loader or similar heavy equipment preferred.
- Experience in recycling, scrap metal, construction, manufacturing, aggregates, or industrial environments is a plus.
- Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to enter and exit heavy equipment multiple times per shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, hard hat, hearing protection, gloves, and high-visibility clothing.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on operational needs
