Easterseals Midwest is seeking an enthusiastic, relationship-focused Special Events & Community Relations Coordinator to support fundraising initiatives, community engagement, and special events that advance our mission of creating opportunities for people with disabilities.
In this role, you'll build relationships with community partners, businesses, donors, and volunteers while coordinating events that inspire support and strengthen community involvement. From fundraising auctions and donor appreciation events to community fairs and volunteer activities, you'll play a key role in bringing our mission to life.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and support fundraising and community engagement events.
- Build relationships with businesses, donors, volunteers, and community partners.
- Identify and organize community outreach opportunities, including givebacks, third-party fundraisers, and community events.
- Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers.
- Solicit sponsorships and in-kind donations to support fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful event planning and execution.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in event planning, fundraising, community relations, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with fundraising, volunteer management, or auction software is a plus.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally and work occasional evenings and weekends.
