American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position requiring MN RN licensure and 2 years of NICU nursing experience.

Work in the Neonatal ICU caring for infants, children, and adolescents
-
Patient population includes critically ill newborns, pre-term infants, and ELBW (extremely low birth weight) infants
-
Provides pre and post op care for critically ill newborns, including those with trachs
-
Uses assisted ventilation equipment including high frequency JET and Oscillator ventilators, conventional vents, and non-invasive methods such as bubble CPAP, RAM cannula, and HFNC
-
12-hour shifts on a .9 FTE schedule with Day/Evening/Night rotations
-
Required to work every other weekend
-
No on-call responsibilities

May be asked to float between neonatal units within the campus based on staffing needs, but will not be required to move between campuses mid-shift

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
-
Active MN RN license or MN Temporary Permit-RN

Current BLS and NRP certifications

Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required

Experience caring for infants requiring assisted ventilation, including high frequency and conventional ventilators, and non-invasive respiratory support

Experience with pre and post op care of critically ill newborns, including those with trachs
-
Experience caring for pre-term and ELBW infants
-
Strong knowledge of developmental care required

Coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care utilizing the nursing process

Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members
