American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Acute Care) travel assignment in Albany, GA, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience including 1 prior travel assignment.

Acute Care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
-
44-bed unit with a staff of approximately 40
-
Patient ratio of 1:5, with occasional 1:6
-
CNA support available, generally at a 1:10 ratio
-
Telemetry patients present, though monitoring is managed on a separate unit
-
Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
-
Every other weekend required
-
Holiday coverage required as needed

Floating required to all acute care units, cardiology (for medical patients), and the EC for acute care patient holds
-
Charting in MEDITECH; experience preferred but not required
-
26-week contract
-
Active RN license for Georgia (GA state or Compact) currently in hand
-
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications, both must be issued by AHA
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience, including at least 1 prior travel assignment

Driver's License required for consideration

Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on address on Driver's License) to be eligible for placement

Orientation consists of approximately 1 week of general orientation (including EMR training) followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation

Caribbean blue scrubs required

Any requested time off must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment to be considered

Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
