The Position: The professional line cook prepares food to the chef’s exact specifications for excellent food quality and consistency in this high-volume kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in the executive chef daily tasks
- Inform the Executive Chef of special needs for ingredients, food stock and materials
- Must be able to cook at any station in the kitchen
- Cook menu items on the line
- Plate food according to chef specifications
- Interact effectively with food expo/servers to address special needs and requests
- Comply with nutrition and sanitary regulations and safety standards and report violations and breaches to executive chef
Schedule:
- Shifts available Wednesday - Sunday
- Line cooks typically work from 3-9pm
- Part-time hours are available, 3 - 5 nights per week
Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- High quality of customer service
- Teamwork and willingness to support front and back of house teams
