We are seeking a skilled and energetic Certified Mechanic/Body Shop Technician to join our dynamic automotive repair team. Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs using a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and auto restoration projects.
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify vehicle structures and components.
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, and engine diagnostics.
- Prepare vehicles for auto estimating by assessing damage and providing detailed repair estimates.
- Apply auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair and body shop work.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, auto painting, auto glass installation, and auto restoration processes.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service principles is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform physically demanding tasks consistently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship and safety compliance.
- Valid certification as a mechanic or body shop technician; previous dealership experience is highly desirable. Pay: $25.40 - $30.59 per hour
