EXAMPLE OF DUTIES As an Aide Trainee, you will be responsible and accountable for learning the duties of a Residential Services Aide and begin with a paid in-classroom and on-the-job training program. You will learn how to care for and assist people with Intellectual Disabilities living at the Selinsgrove Center. Upon successful completion of a six-month probationary period as an Aide Trainee, you will be promoted to a Residential Services Aide.
As an Aide Trainee, you will perform the following duties:

ISP Support: Assist with completing assigned portions of assessments and planning documents to ensure accurate information

Training Implementation: Conduct assigned training activities to help individuals learn daily living skills

Progress Monitoring: Record and report information to support updates and improvements to each individual’s support plan

Team Participation: Share observations and insights with team members to support coordinated care

Environmental Support: Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic living environment

Advocacy and Respect: Model appropriate behavior and uphold individual rights and dignity

Work Schedule and Additional Information:-
Full-time employment.

Work hours during training: 1st shift 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with a 30 minute lunch.

Work hours after training: 2nd shift 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, with a 30 minute lunch.

Rotating break days with every third weekend off.

Travel and overtime as needed.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,245.00 (before taxes).
