About the Role
The HR Intern will work closely with our Human Resources team to gain hands-on experience across multiple HR functions, including employee data integrity, onboarding, offboarding, recruiting support, employee engagement initiatives, and exposure to employee relations and HR operations. This internship is designed for students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree who want meaningful, real-world experience in a professional HR environment while contributing to projects that directly impact employees and business operations.
This position is expected to work approximately 20–30 hours per week from June through December, with scheduling flexibility based on business needs and school commitments.
What You'll Do
1. Support Employee Data Integrity
- Enter and maintain accurate employee information within HR systems and databases.
- Assist with routine audits to ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency of employee records.
- Help prepare reports, analyze trends, and verify data for HR projects and leadership requests.
- Support document organization and electronic personnel file maintenance.
2. Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Support
- Post job openings and assist with applicant tracking activities.
- Support resume screening and candidate communication efforts.
- Coordinate interview scheduling with candidates and hiring managers as needed.
- Participate in recruiting initiatives, career fairs, community outreach events, and campus recruiting activities as needed.
- Assist with maintaining candidate pipelines and recruiting documentation.
3. Assist with Onboarding Activities
- Prepare onboarding materials, orientation packets, and new hire documentation.
- Assist with first-day logistics and orientation activities.
- Help ensure all required employment forms are completed and support I-9 verification processes.
- Coordinate onboarding tasks with departments to support a positive new hire experience.
4. Support Offboarding Activities
- Assist with exit processes, including documentation, equipment return coordination, and system updates.
- Help prepare exit interview materials and maintain records of offboarding activities.
- Support tracking and follow-up related to employee separation processes.
5. Employee Relations & Employee Engagement Exposure
- Assist with tracking employee concerns and escalating matters appropriately to HR leadership.
- Support documentation and follow-up activities related to workplace matters as directed.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition activities, and company events.
- Gain exposure to workplace policies, communication strategies, and HR best practices.
Who We're Looking For
Education
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field.
Skills & Strengths
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; HRIS experience is a plus.
